Most of the children living in AFCECO orphanages are either orphans or were victims of child labor and abused girls and children from remote areas where Taliban and extremists dominate society. AFCECO tries to take children from all over Afghanistan, of all ethnic backgrounds and languages. We are in close contact with a variety of grass-roots organizations, councils and minorities. Since 2004, more than 60 children finished high school of whom 35 are now in university and 15 finished university. Some of AFCECO graduates are now working in AFCECO and the entire management team is comprised of AFCECO young girls.
