Rooya was born into a poor family in a remote part of Afghanistan, where poverty is crushing and even the most basic education or healthcare is out of reach. For girls like her, life usually means nothing more than a daily fight to survive, with no hope for a brighter future.
But Rooya’s journey took a different path. Today, she lives in one of AFCECO’s caring homes in Islamabad, where for the first time she has found safety, stability, and the warmth of a supportive community. She now attends an international private school—something her family could never have imagined—opening doors to a world of opportunity.
